Board

Latino America Unida Foundation, Inc. is managed under the direction of the board of directors. The board is composed of Hermanos from various chapters of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity Inc.

Executive 

Devon Mirabal MSW

Chairman

Devon Mirabal is an alumnus from the Kappa Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves as the foundation's Chairman. Devon has held several fraternal positions both local and nationally. Locally serving as the President for the New York City alumni chapter; Lambda Beta. Nationally he has served as National Historian, National Intake, and most recently Chief Alumni-Relations Officer. 
Devon was raised in East Stroudsburg Pennsylvania, holds a bachelors in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven and a masters in Social Work from Hunter College. He is a New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Scholarship Program recipient. A fellow for the Institute for Nonprofit Practice - New York City Community Fellows Program and serves on the Junior Board for The New York Foundling.

Geurys Perez

Vice-Chairman

Geurys S. Perez is an alumnus from the Kappa Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc.  Geurys serves as the boards Vice-Chair. He is currently a Principal Project Engineer at Cubic Mission & Performance Solutions. He acquired his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Haven. Since he was a young boy growing up in the Dominican Republic, he has had an interest in the way things work. 
Science has been one of his favorite subjects. Geury’s interest are in engineering, particularly physics and math. Geurys enjoys the challenges of using scientific and mathematical concepts when solving everyday problems. He also enjoys giving back to the community, fraternity, and families. Geurys has expressed that giving back without expecting anything in return, is a priceless feeling that he has always loved.

Raysel Rojas

Treasurer

Raysel Rojas is an alumnus from the Eta Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. Raysel serves as the boards Treasurer. He is from Queens, N.Y. Raysel obtained his MBA degree with a concentration in Management from Adelphi University in 2019. Currently, Raysel  works as a Private Client Banker for JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. On the day to day, Raysel works with clients by managing their assets & developing a plan for their long term financial goals. 
Raysel’s passion for finance began at SUNY College at Old Westbury, while pursuing his undergraduatedegree. 
This is where he served as a peer mentor for first year students. Raysel will forever be fulfilled by helping people & will always carry out this foundation’s mission in life.

Lowis Ortega

Secretary

Lowis Ortega is an alumnus from the Rho Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves as the foundation’s secretary. Lowis held multiple elected positions in his chapter during his undergraduate time at SUNY Binghamton including: Vice President, Community Service Chair, and Treasurer. Lowis Ortega also served on the elected board for the Latin American Student Union at Binghamton University. He is a first-generation college graduate. 
Lowis was raised in the Bronx, he is of Dominican descent. He holds a bachelor's degree in both Political Science and Sociology. Currently, Lowis is an Immigration Legal Advocate for one of the nation’s most esteemed non-profit organizations, The Bronx Defenders. Lowis strives to uplift his people and community in every aspect of his life. 

Finance

Miguel miranda

Miguel Miranda is an alumnus from the Mu Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. Miguel graduated in 2019 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He now is the president of the Lambda Zeta Chapter of the fraternity and serves on the finance committee of the Foundation’s board. 


Professionally, he has 3 years in the financial and banking industry; 1 year with Empower and 2 years with U.S. Bank. His skill set includes exceptional customer service to retirement and mutual fund accounts. Miguel is eager to 

continue using his financial and accounting abilities for the benefit of the Foundation.

Development

Stephen Patterson

Stephen Patterson is an alumnus from the Beta Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Development Committee. Previously Stephen served as the Secretary of the NY-based alumni chapter, Lambda Beta. Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism (with specifications in Mass Media Communications & Creative Writing) from Rochester Institute of Technology. As a professional, Stephen is the Deputy Director & Director of Philanthropy for the children’s rights non-profit organization, Intact America. 

Henri bonner

Henri Bonner is an alumnus from the Kappa Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Development Committee. A dedicated board member of Latino America Unida Foundation, bringing his extensive experience and passion to the table. With a deep-rooted commitment to philanthropy, Henri is actively contributing to the organization's mission of making a positive impact in the community.Henri possesses a diverse background in fundraising, development, and human resources. He graduated from the University of New Haven with his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While at UNH, he served as Programming Chair for the Kappa Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity Inc, and Treasurer for the Inter-Fraternity and Sorority Council. After graduating, he began his career in public service working for the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation as a Park Enforcement Officer.Currently, Henri works for Encore Community Services, a nonprofit dedicated to providing care and service to the elderly in Hell’s Kitchen. Through his unwavering commitment, Henri continues to make a profound impact on the non-profit organization's ability to create meaningful change and improve the lives of those they serve.

Luis Suzanna

Luis Suzanna is an alumnus from the Syracuse Metro Colony of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Development Committee. During his undergrad, Mr. Suzanna served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Syracuse Metro Colony of Latino America Unida Lambda Alpha Upsilon Inc.He worked as the Service Desk Coordinator for Le Moyne College Information Systems Department. Where he was in charge of managing the student workers, along with providing level one IT support. He was also in charge of managing campus wide communication regarding issues and supporting campus wide classroom technology issues. Currently, he is working for M&T bank in Buffalo, NY as part of the MDP program in a Product Administrator role.

Communications

Miguel Nunez

Miguel Nunez Victoria is an alumnus from the Nu Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc.  He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Communications Committee. Miguel is an accomplished business leader in marketing and finance with a strong background in the banking industry. With 7 years of professional experience, he has demonstrated expertise in content creation, strategic management and business development.Throughout his career, Miguel has consistently delivered exceptional results and made significant contributions to multiple organizations he is affiliated with. He is known for empowering the Latino community, curiosity for world culture, understanding globalization, entrepreneurship and establishing his own LLC. 
Currently, Miguel holds the position of Associate Banker at JPMorgan Chase. In this role, he is responsible for providing exceptional client experiences and business growth within the Consumer and Community Banking division. He leverages his deep understanding of the firm, the company's lines of businesses and Drexel MBA program to promote leadership and community initiatives in the Greater Philadelphia area. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Miguel worked for Vanguard, Audi and other local banks, where he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and an ability to drive results, based on work and higher educational experience.
Miguel is currently working on his Master’s in Business Administration in Change Leadership and Strategy Management from Drexel University. He did his Bachelor's in Marketing Strategies and International Business at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is a board member for ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) as the Marketing Director for the Philadelphia Chapter. 

Michael S. Cuatlal

Michael S. Cuatlal is an alumnus from the Rho  Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Communications Committee. Michael is a recent graduate from Binghamton University where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree of Arts & Design in Graphic Design. Michael is of Mexican decent, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. During his undergrad, Michael held various positions which include community service, secretary, public relations, and vice president. 
Michael also served as community service chair for the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations at Binghamton University. Furthermore, as part of his professional journey, Michael continues to grow his graphic design skills in order to create content for himself and others.

Programming

jonathan Cabrera

Jonathan Cabrera is an alumnus from the Beta Chapter of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. He serves the LAU Foundation as a member of the Programming  Committee. He is currently working in the Aerospace and Defense Industry for Specter Aerospace. His passion for Aerospace has developed and grown to where he is today. He is affiliated with other organizations such as La Vida Scholars, and Lynn Tech Alumni Association. He believes being part of LAU Foundation will make a difference for someone. Speaking from someone who is a first Generation, low-income Latino. He wants someone to be successful as he and the people around him. His biggest accomplishments were to be the first in the family to graduate from a university, travel the world, and have a successful career path.
