History & Mission
The Latino America Unida Foundation was founded in 2021 by Hermanos of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. looking to support the ever growing needs of the fraternity. In 2023, a board was established with the goal of fundraising, grant development and scholarships for members and entities of Lambda Alpha Upsilon as well as students from college campuses where Lambda Alpha Upsilon entities exist.
Latino America Unida Foundation serves to provide essential support, secure and contribute financial resources for the educational, leadership and charitable purposes of Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. in order to enrich the lives of alumnae and collegiate members and assist in improving the communities in which they serve.
The Foundation will leverage the following strategies in order to provide such resources:
A. Partner with local financial institutions to provide basic personal finance education to individuals and business owners.
B. Secure financial resources through fundraisers and grants in order to provide scholarships to students pursing a collegiate degree.
C. Partner with local agencies and non-profits in order to promote their services within the community.
