The Zeta Chapter of Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on November 30th, 1997, by Hermano Robin Arturo Gonzalez. Through his hard work and dedication to uphold the Metas of LAU, Hermano Robin Arturo Gonzalez was able to establish a network of professionals that would greatly impact the Latino community on college campuses.
Latino America Unida Foundation has dedicated this scholarship to individuals who have shown personal, academic, and professional growth on a university campus. This scholarship is created not just for academic and professional achievement, but for perseverance as well. The Robin Arturo Gonzalez Scholarship is for an individual who perseveres in the face of adversity and continues to support the success of their community, despite personal challenges. This scholarship is meant for a person who lends out a hand without asking for anything in return, it is meant for an advocate, an organizer, and ultimately, a leader on a campus where LAU is active.
